Every time you play a chord correctly, squeeze your hand.

Four Chords: G, Em, C, D (I-vi-IV-V) This four-chord progression should be instantly recognizable, as a staple of '50s pop, early rock and roll and R&B, especially doo-wop.
Being a half-step up from the C major chord, C# has a slightly brighter sound and is often used in various music genres, including blues, jazz, pop, and rock. When played on the guitar, the C# chord has a rich, full-bodied sound that can add depth and complexity to your music.
While C# doesn't have a standard open chord form like other major chords due to its positioning on the fretboard, you can play an open chord voicing of C# Major using a capo. Place your capo on the fourth fret of the guitar. This effectively moves the "nut" of the guitar up by one half-step (a semitone) for each fret.
Place your index finger across all six strings at the 4th fret, creating a barre. Place your middle finger on the 5th fret of the 3rd (G) string. Place your ring finger on the 6th fret of the 5th (A) string. Place your pinky finger on the 6th fret of the 4th (D) string.

The famous four chords used in many pop song progressions are the I, V, vi and IV chords of a major key. The roman numerals represent the numbers of the major scale we begin a chord from (1, 5, 6, 4) so in C major this would be C, G, Amin, F or in G major it would be G, D, Emin, C.
One of the easiest chords for beginners to learn is the C major chord. The full version of this open chord requires three fingers, but gives a clear, distinctive sound as it rings out when strummed.
The F chord is typically the first major test in a beginner's journey. Many give up after attempting to learn the F chord. This is because it is a bar chord. If you have never played a bar chord before, the F is going to take extra patience and resistance to frustration.
