Deane Thomas Jenkins passed away on October 29, 2016 at his home while surrounded by his family.

He was born July 23, 1925 in Saint Anthony, Idaho to Adelbert Thomas and Nellie Katherine Weaver McMinn Jenkins.

Deane married his sweetheart, Donna Perrenoud, on September 29, 1943 and later their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Deane was drafted at the age of seventeen and served in WWII on Guam. After the war, Deane worked as a carpenter in construction and then retired from United Airlines after twenty-five years of service.

He was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings. Deane was an active Boy Scout Leader and was awarded the Silver Beaver. Deane and Donna both served a mission as temple workers at the Jordan River Temple.

Deane is survived by his children, Deane Grant (Katherine Sue) Jenkins, Brenda (Dave Huhtala) McGuire, Valdean E. (Floree) Jenkins, and Ricky D. (Kathy) Jenkins; eighteen grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and sister, Lila Dopp. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Donna; one granddaughter, one great-great-granddaughter, one brother, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in the Magna East Stake Center, 2875 South 8000 West, Magna. Visitations will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and prior to the services at the church on Thursday from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
