Does G7 work with xDrip? ›

G5, G6, ONE and G7

You can add xDrip+ to your current setup and select Companion app to have xDrip+ read BG from the vendor app notifications (G5, G6, G7, ONE).

The Dexcom G7 sensor is waterproof up to 8 feet (2.4 meters). You can also get the sensor wet while bathing, showering, or swimming. The Dexcom G7 receiver is not waterproof but is splash resistant.

Download the Dexcom G7 app from the App Store or Google Play store to your compatible smart device. * Follow the onscreen instructions, including watching the in-app training videos in full.

You cannot connect xDrip+ and Dexcom app with the transmitter at the same time! If you need Clarity and want to profit from xDrip+ features, use the Build Your Own Dexcom App with local broadcast to xDrip+, or use xDrip+ as a Companion app receiving notifications from the official Dexcom app.

xDrip+ is an unofficial and independent Android app which works as data hub and processor between many different devices. It supports wireless connections to G4, G5, G6, G7, Medtrum A6, Libre via NFC and Bluetooth, 630G, 640G, 670G pumps, CareSens Air and Eversense CGM via companion apps.

Dexcom CGM is widely covered and most patients pay $20 or less per month. Dexcom G7 is easy to get no matter your CGM coverage.

It provides several helpful metrics, including TIR, average glucose levels, and an estimation of your A1C for the time period you select. With this information, you're empowered to make adjustments to your diabetes self-care routines and habits to support your glucose management goals.

The Dexcom G7 sensor is indicated to be worn for up to 10 days, with a 12-hour grace period at the end. The Dexcom G7 sensor should be worn on the back of your upper arm, or upper buttocks for children 2 to 6 years old. As a reminder, read product instructions before you use your Dexcom G7 CGM System.

Where to insert — Dexcom G7 sensors may be inserted on the back of the upper arm (indicated for users ages 2 years and older) or the upper buttocks (ages 2-6 years old). Don't wear your Dexcom G7 sensor on other sites as it may not work as expected.

Can Dexcom G7 go through airport security? ›

You can wear your Dexcom G7 sensor when going through walk-through metal detectors and Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) body scanners. Alternatively, you may ask for hand-wanding or a full-body pat-down and visual inspection.

Where can I insert my Dexcom G7 sensor? Dexcom G7 sensors may be inserted on the back of the upper arm, the abdomen (not indicated for pregnant women), or the upper buttocks (ages 2-6 years old only).

Answer: If you have Realtime Sensors (Dexcom G6, Dexcom G7 or Libre 3): You can use the realtime CGM app without internet as long as it's still connected to bluetooth (e.g. airplane mode with bluetooth on still works), but it will not be transferred to the Levels app until you get internet connection again.

Dexcom G7 measures glucose levels up to every 5 minutes using a sensor inserted just underneath the skin, and wirelessly transmits glucose readings to a receiver or compatible smart device.

Accuracy of the Dexcom G7

The accuracy of a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system is measured by its mean absolute relative difference (MARD). The lower the MARD number, the higher the accuracy. The Dexcom G7 boasts a MARD of 8.2%, making it one of the most accurate CGM systems available.

Currently, the Dexcom G7 Direct to Watch feature is only compatible with Apple Watch.
